Workshop Information

 

Our canvas training workshops are hands on and very comprehensive in scope. They are geared to both beginners and experience fabricators that want to refine their skills. We prefer to keep our classes limited in size to 4 students at a time. We believe this class size lets you learn faster and more effectively. Deb and I teach as a team, so there are two instructors in every workshop. Students will be provided with a workbook covering every aspect of the workshop. Students will train on the same Juki and Adler single needle walking foot machines that we use in our day to day production. We are an active canvas shop, so our students will get a real idea of how a busy canvas shop runs and is set up. Put our 40 years of experience to work for you, we have trained many successful shops over the past 12 years.

Payment

Call us old fashioned, but we prefer a more hands on approach to booking classes, rather than just an automatic click and done. We like to talk to prospective students first and answer any questions they might have. To book a class from our schedule page, just call Deb at 978-346-4658. We do not take credit cards just checks, half at booking to secure the spot and the rest when you come to class. Our workshops start at 9am and run to 5pm each day.

 

Cancellation Policy

 

Workshops are subject to change without notice. If Mark or Deb are unable to teach, tuition will be refunded, or we will reschedule. We ask that students give us a 60-day notice prior to the start of the workshop if unable to attend. Under 60 days tuition will be refunded only if we have a student to fill your spot.

We are located in on the border with New Hampshire, north of Boston. We are right on Rte. 110 just upriver from the historic and busy seaport of Newburyport, Massachusetts. There are many interesting places to visit, eat or just walk the river on the boardwalk.

Hotels and Airports

​

For Hotel accommodations, we recommend either the Hampton Inn or the Fairfield Inn. Both hotels are in Amesbury, MA and a short drive to our shop. Both have free breakfast, free WiFi and reasonable rates. The Hampton is brand new with an indoor pool and gym.
